Spring is a time of growth and renewal after the winter calm. To celebrate “Spring in
the City”, I decided to portray mother nature and how she relates to the human
experience. Spring is a colourful and energetic time; a time of movement. This is
shown by the mannequin’s dynamic walking pose. Nature gives us the tools we
need to survive. Two of those elements include water and sunlight, which we use to
grow plants. In gradients of blue and orange, water and sunlight are shown on her
hands and legs. With patience and love, plants and animals bloom from her heart. It
is what we choose to do with what nature has given us to live sustainably. We must
protect our precious Earth.
